After you prepare yourself to paint by relaxing mentally and physically, simply splashing around without caring about the outcome can be very freeing and rewarding.
Little masterpieces often come from letting go and experimenting. Accidents can open whole new pathways for expression.
1) Set yourself free by loosening up and experimenting with paints on many 5"x7" - 8"x10" pieces of watercolor paper with acrylics or oils!
2) Move quickly and freely. Attempts at creating little landscapes or still lifes will sometimes give you some jewels for paintings!
3) Free your head, free your hand! Paint like a happy child! Go for it! It should only be fun and exhilarating. Lose yourself in the act of creating something completely new and original!
